Tarkwa, May 30 -GNA-The Tarkwa circuit court on Friday sentenced a 19 year-old unemployed man, Justice Ackaah, to seven  years imprisonment for defiling a 13- year-old Junior High School student.

Ackaah who was convicted on his own plea,  was said to have lured the girl into an uncompleted building and sexually assaulted her.
Prosecuting Chief Inspector Florence Tawiah,  told the court presided over by Mr. Samuel Obeng Diawuo that the girl lived with her father, an auto electrician at Dompim Pepesa, while the convict also lived in the same vicinity.
She said on March 12, around 2100 hours, the girl’s father who was the complainant,   sent her to town to buy food for him, but she returned  home crying with her dress torn and bruises all over her body.
The girl informed her father about her encounter with Ackaah, and   a report was made to the police who issued her with a medical report form to seek medical attention.
The prosecutor said the medical report indicated that she has been defiled, and she later led the police to the uncompleted building where the incident occurred.
Ackaah who went into hiding after the act was arrested on May 26 at Agona Nkwanta.
