WB seeks for global partnership to enhance social accountability

robert zoellickAccra, Jan. 16, GNA – The World Bank Group (WB) on Monday said it was considering the development of a global partnership facility to enhance social accountability.

A WB document made available to the Ghana News Agency in Accra explained that the objective of the partnership was to support civil society organisations’ (CSO) capacity to engage governments to improve on  development outcomes.

It said the partnership sought to examine responses to increasing evidence that development outcomes could be improved through the involvement of beneficiaries and other stakeholders in the design, monitoring and evaluation of public service delivery and resource management.
