Chief commends Communications Minister

NPA announces price hikes of petroleum products

 

NPAAccra, Dec. 28, GNA – The National Petroleum Authority (NPA) on Wednesday announced increases in the prices of petroleum products, saying the action was based on rising world prices and depreciation of the Cedi.

A statement signed by Mr Alexander Mould, Acting CEO of NPA, said the new prices take effect from December 29.

Four persons arrested with human heads at Half Assini

 

criminal with human head caught by policeHalf Assini (W/R), Dec. 11, GNA -A large crowd of people late Saturday thronged Half Assini to catch a glimpse of four persons including a woman, who have been arrested for possessing two human heads.

The Police refused to speak with the Ghana News Agency on the issue, but a source from Captain Williams Hotel in Half Assini, where the suspects were arrested, said the heads were male and female.

Government allocates GH¢2.3m for UDS medical school-Veep

 

Veep John MahamaTamale, Dec. 10, GNA – Vice President John Dramani Mahama on Saturday announced that government had voted about GH¢2.3 million for infrastructural development at the University for Development Studies’ Medical School.

 

He explained that one million cedis out of the amount would be used for the expansion of infrastructure on the University campus, while GH¢900,000 and GH¢380,000 go into the procurement of laboratory equipment and other development projects respectively.

Mills assures nation of peaceful elections next year

This was contained in a speech read on his behalf by the Deputy Eastern Regional Minister, Mr Ebenezer Terlabi at the dedication of a chapel by the Zimmermann Presbyterian Church, which was started 46 years ago at Odumase-Krobo and a manse on Sunday.

Minority denies Dery bid; kicks against Akan running mate

Hon Mensah-Bonsu, however, admitted the minority caucus has had some discussions on the running mate issue that has occupied some NPP leading members for some time now.

Ghana moves to ban importation of second-hand cars but…
