Nsawam (E/R), Oct. 17, GNA – Mr Mark Dompreh Amoako, Municipal Chief Executive for Nsawam/Adoagyiri, has presented 25 laptops to eleven schools in the Municipality.
Some of the beneficiary schools included Adoagyiri Presbyterian Junior High School (JHS), Nsawam Presby JHS, Peduase JHS and Nana Osae Djan JHS.
Mr Dompreh Amoako said the laptops were part of the government’s Better Ghana Agenda policy in ensuring that all schools benefitted from the study of Information Communication Technology (ICT).
“It is the intension of government to ensure that computers are distributed to schools throughout the country for students to have easy access in studying the subject.
Mrs Stella Nannor, Municipal Education Director who received the computers, expressed gratitude to the government and said they would be distributed fairly among the schools.
She appealed to teachers to be vigilant in the use of the computers and keep them safe after classes.
Mrs Nannor called on the students to be serious in their studies as that held the key to their future.
Mr Ben Ohene Ayeh, National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary Candidate for Nsawam/Adoagyiri, advised the students to stop attending videos and other social activities and focus on their studies.
He advised students who have registered to vote in to coming elections to do so wisely and avoid trouble.
