Satellites go through despite 3-1 loss



Accra, Oct. 7, GNA –    Ghana’s Black Satellites booked their place at the 2013 African Youth Championship despite suffering 1-3 loss against their Moroccan counterparts on Sunday, October 7, in Rabat, Morocco.

     The Satellites, 4-1 winners in the first leg match on 5-4 on aggregate to confirm their participation at next year’s event.

     The Ghanaians will be hoping to make amends at the continental championship after a disastrous outing at the last edition in South Africa in 2011.

     The African championship will take place in Algeria from 6-30 March, 2013.

     The semi finalists at the championship will qualify for the 2013 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Turkey.
