The Ghana Campus of the Philippine Baptist Theological Seminary Education by Extension (SEE) has held its 11th graduation ceremony with a call to the church to focus on helping to overcome poverty and other indignities. Mr. Sampson Kwaku Boafo, a former Minister of State, said it should lead from the front the fight against social injustices, plaguing the society, to enable everybody to live in human dignity.

This entailed giving employable skills training, setting people up in small scale business ventures and providing deprived and under served communities with vital social amenities.

In all, more than 30 newly trained pastors graduated and were awarded Bachelor of Theology, Master of Arts in Missiology and Ministry, Master of Christian Education and Divinity degrees.

“Equipped to expand the kingdom of God” was the theme chosen for the event. Mr. Boafo reminded them to lead Christ-like lives to become good example to others in the society. They should mirror sublime qualities of honesty, modesty, humility and service to humanity.

He said it was important that they stuck to the true Bible teachings to help people to growth in their faith – give confidence to them.  Mr. Boafo said they should make the training they had received become more beneficial to the society.

He advised that they distanced themselves from anything likely to create image problems for the clergy and the church. The Reverend Douglas Okonah Frimpong, the Founder, said the newly trained pastors were extremely capable to bring the gospel and salvation to more people.

He urged them to remain prayerful and work with passion to turn people away from anything evil, sinful, and despicable.
