Koforidua(E/R), Aug. 2,GNA –The much awaited Eastern Regional Division Two League will start this weekend across all the league centers in the region.
A total of 80 football clubs have registered to participate in the league and, which had been divided into 10 zones.
The league would be played over two rounds in each zone and the top two teams from each zone qualifies to play in the middle league.
The best four teams from the middle league will qualify to play in a super middle league.
The winner of the super middle league then qualifies to represent the region in the National Division One league.
Information gathered by the Ghana News Agency (GNA) from the Eastern Regional Football Association (RFA) indicates that, the league will be suspended after the first three matches to make way for the FA Cup knockout qualifications.
All the teams participating in the regional second division league would be regrouped to play in the knockout fixtures to battle for six of the places for next seasons FA Cup spots.
