Assembly takes steps to strengthen security

Nsuta (B/A), Aug 02, GNA – The Techiman Municipal Assembly as part of efforts at strengthening security protection for people in the area has built a new police station in Nsuta.

Nsuta (B/A), Aug 02, GNA – The Techiman Municipal Assembly as part of efforts at strengthening security protection for people in the area has built a new police station in Nsuta.

     It comes with an office for the Station Officer, a charge office, cell, bath and washrooms.
     The project, completed at a cost of GH?48,000.00, was funded from the District Development Facility (DDF) and would take care of the security needs of not only the people in Nsuta but those in 15 other communities.
    Mr. Philip Oppong Amponsah, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), inaugurating the station in a ceremony, said there could be no doubt that the police presence would help discourage people from acting outside the law.
    He called for strong support for the officers posted to the place by flagging up suspected criminals.
    Police Chief Superintendent Emmanuel Twumasi-Ankrah, the Municipal Commander, assured the people of the determination of the police to do everything to bring down crime to make the society safe for everybody.
