Accra, July 27, GNA- President John Dramani Mahama on Wednesday said although government was ready to redeem its campaign messages of providing development projects across the length of breadth of the country, these could not be done simultaneously.
He said some of the projects would definitely begin and be completed before others and it was, therefore, expedient for those who had not received theirs to exercise restraint.
President Mahama said this when the chiefs and queenmothers from all the eight paramountcies of Dodo Pepesu in the Kadjebi District of the Volta Region called on him at the Flagstaff House, Kanda.
The chiefs were at the Presidency to thank President Mahama for providing them with a major road between Dodo Pepesu and Nkwanta and other development projects in the area over the years and to commiserate with him on the death of his mother a few weeks ago.
As custom demands the chiefs and queenmothers carried with them traditional paraphernalia and a ram to commiserate with the President.
President Mahama said their complaints about feeder roads would be constructed under the cocoa roads project to facilitate the movements of food stuffs from the farming communities to marketing centres.
He commended them for the good reception he received when he was there to inaugurate the Dodo Pepesu-Nkwanta road and promised to provide a community day senior high school at Dodo Amanfrom in the next batch of the awards of contract.
Dasebere Obonie Sebewie V, the leader of the delegation, commended President Mahama for the numerous development projects in the eight traditional areas of the Kadjebi District.
He gave the assurance that they would provide 24 acres of land for the establishment of the community day senior high school.
