NHIA organizes quiz competition for Western Regional schools

Shama (W/R), July 26, GNA – Archbishop Porter Girls Senior High School emerged the winner of the 2016 National Health Insurance Authority’s (NHIA) annual quiz competition held in the Western Region.

Shama (W/R), July 26, GNA – Archbishop Porter Girls Senior High School emerged the winner of the 2016 National Health Insurance Authority’s (NHIA) annual quiz competition held in the Western Region.

The school gathered forty points at the end of the competition to beat Nkroful Senior High School who bagged 37 for the second position.
 Meanwhile, Shama SHS, the host of the competition, lost out to Amenfiman SHS, who took the third position.
Mr Richard Noble Alan, a literature tutor at the St. John’s Boys school officiated the quiz event which centered on the new capitation scheme being introduced by the Authority.
Mrs Edna Gyau-Baffour, Acting Director of the Regional Office, said the competition was to educate the youth on the importance of the scheme and use them as ambassadors to promote the NHIA and its policies to the general public.
She said the quiz was also an academic exercise to enhance their knowledge on health concerns.
