Accra, July 21, GNA – The GCB Bank Limited has launched its new branch at Weija near the West Hills Mall to respond to the banking needs of existing and prospective customers.
Mr Socrates Affram, the Chief Finance Officer of the Bank, said GCB has the widest branch network in the country, with a presence in almost every district in Ghana.
He said the GCB Bank has about 159 branches, 20 agencies and over 250 ATMs and MPOSs, however, there were a lot of emerging and flourishing areas where the Bank no presence.
“As a result, the Bank keeps getting calls from its customers to open new branches in some of these locations. The Bank took this into consideration in its strategic drive and rebranding,” he said.
Mr Affram said Weija marked the fourth new branch within the last six months after Haatso, Amasaman, and Adjiringanor and “we are hoping to add another three branches before the end of the year”.
He announced that over the next few years, the Bank would change the face of all its existing branches to conform to the new identity.
“It is no longer worth it for a business to own a magnificent building that it did not need for its services because the cost to maintain such a property is very high. So it is prudent to go in for cute and modern structure to meet your business and customers need,” he said.
He, therefore, urged people and businesses around Ga South Municipality to open account with the GCB Weija branch to experience a new way of doing business.
He said GCB embarked upon its transformation journey three years ago and it is modernizing and doing so through its wide array of products and e-banking services, making banking possible everywhere in the world and people to take advantage of their offers.
The new branch would be manned by a 10 officers, including the Area Branch Manager, Mr Mark Mettle Nunoo.
