College of Nurses and Midwives to hold conference

Accra, July 26, GNA – The Fellowship of the Ghana College of Nurses and Midwives (GCNM) will hold its maiden Scientific Conference and Annual General Meeting in August this year.

Accra, July 26, GNA – The Fellowship of the Ghana College of Nurses and Midwives (GCNM) will hold its maiden Scientific Conference and Annual General Meeting in August this year.

A statement signed by Dr Jemima Dennis-Antwi, the President of GCNM and copied to the Ghana News Agency on Monday, said the conference, which is on the theme: “Specialist Nursing and Midwifery Education and Practice: Relevance in Contemporary Quality Healthcare in Ghana and Beyond,” comes off on August 1 to 5.

It said the conference aimed at providing a platform for Fellows and Associates of the College and Health partners would discuss and strategise towards a strong specialist nursing and midwifery education system towards quality health improvement.

Mr Alex Segbefia, the Minister of Health, would be the Guest Speaker at the conference.

“As part of the programme, there will be a scientific exhibition and presentation by specialists in the health sector,” it said.
