Accra,, July 25, GNA— Prophet Prince Kofi Okyere, President of the Faith Anointing International Ministry has charged contenders in the upcoming elections to adequately explain their development plans to enable the electorate to make well-informed decisions.
He said he was confident that Ghanaians would cast their votes based on the performance records of the parties and how realistic their development proposals were for the nation.
Prophet Okyere was speaking at the opening of a Peace Crusade of the church at Pantang-Abokobi, near Madina .
The Seven-Day crusade is aimed at equipping the participants both physically and spiritually and also pray for peace ahead of election 2016.
Prophet Okyere said the election was a process to promote the country’s socio-economic growth and therefore the need for those aspiring to lead the nation to inform the citizenry of how they intend to effectively govern.
He urged politicians to ensure that campaigning was issued-based and not about conflicts and insults and urged the youth to resist being used by some disgruntled politicians to score political points and cause mayhem.
Prophet Okyere also urged the electorate to take the Voter’s Exhibition exercise currently going on seriously, since it was the only way one can exercise his or her franchise.
