Tarkwa (W/R), July 26, GNA- The AngloGold Ashanti, Iduapriem Mine, has promised to renovate the Tarkwa Local Prisons infirmary, in order to provide quality healthcare delivery to the inmates.
The Managing Director of the Company, Mr Sicelo Ntuli, gave the assurance in Tarkwa when he presented eight sets of 40 inches LED flat screen televisions and 20 wall fans at the cost of GH¢ 30,000.00 to the Tarkwa Local Prisons.
He said the gesture formed part of the President’s special initiative christened: “Efiase Project,” which was launched last year.
Mr Ntuli said the company would continue to assist communities within its operational area especially in the region of health.
Receiving the items on behalf of the inmates, the Assistant Director of Prisons, Mr Kwaku Ali Ababio, expressed appreciation to the Company.
He appealed to other public spirited organisations to emulate the mining firm.
