IPR congratulates new Trade and Industry Minister

Accra , Oct 13, GNA -The Executive Council of the Institute of Public Relations, Ghana (IPR),  on Monday  congratulated Dr Ekwow Spio-Garbrah, on his  appointment as the new Minister of Trade and Industry.

Accra , Oct 13, GNA -The Executive Council of the Institute of Public Relations, Ghana (IPR),  on Monday  congratulated Dr Ekwow Spio-Garbrah, on his  appointment as the new Minister of Trade and Industry.

A statement signed by Joseph E. T. Dottey, Executive Secretary of the IPR, said the Executive Council hoped that Dr Spio-Garbrah would bring his wide range of global experiences, strong communications and public relations skills,  to bear on his new national service role.

“We also take cognizance of the fact that since this is not his first time in government; he will perform very creditably in his new role, to the admiration of all and the satisfaction of the appointing authority,”, the statement said.

It  further said the IPR also trust that his role at the Trade Ministry would translate into positive Foreign Direct Investment, and a positive balance of trade that would help propel the gains that government was making to better the lot of  Ghanaians.

The statement said the prestigious designation was a strong indication of his level of dedication, professionalism and determination to be of service to Ghanaians,  and believed that he would also be a good ambassador of the IPR, Ghana, of  which he is a Fellow.
