New Juaben South NPP predicts landslide victory in December

Sept. 03, GNA - Dr Mark Assibey-Yeboah, New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate for New Juaben South, has predicted that the party would chalk a landslide victory in the December general election.

He said the party in the constituency was well prepared to maintain the seat once again.
Mr Assibey-Yeboah therefore appealed to the electorate to vote massively for the NPP and also vote for him as a Member of Parliament (MP) to facilitate  change in the area.
Dr Assibey-Yeboah made the call when he visited some churches to introduce himself to the congregations on Sunday.
The NPP candidate assured that come December they would go all out to solicit for support from the electorate to return the party to power.
Dr Assibey-Yeboah accused the NDC of failing to fulfill all of its campaign promises made in 2008.
As a result, he said, cost of living had gone up and the only way to save Ghanaians and the country was to show them the exit come 2012.
He said the free Senior High School (SHS) education policy promised by the NPP would come to fruition when the party is given the mandate.
Dr Assibey-Yeboah said the performance of the NPP during its eight years’ rule was a clear indication that they could deliver on their campaign promises.
He mentioned that the introduction of the National Health Insurance Scheme, school feeding programme, capitation grant,  mass transportation system, free maternal and delivery programme were some of the social intervention policies the party brought to save many Ghanaians.
He said the NDC had no solutions to any of the challenges confronting the state at the moment.
Dr Assibey-Yeboah, an economist, said one major challenge confronting the state at the moment was youth unemployment but the NDC government had failed to initiate any single policy to solve it.
